Hi Nikki, I sure did! I did RP 50% darker on the doors too and it’s SO STINKIN’ PRETTY! It’s such a nice, but not shocking change from white ;).

Hmmm, interesting. You’re not far off. I feel like you’d need a BIT more depth than what I have, more like SW Intellectual Gray, although it WILL pick up more green (but with Accessible Beige, green is better than purple!). As long as that jibes with any veining in your countertops :).

Hi Judith! Well, RP really is a creature unto itself and Colonnade is grayer with less green. You might have better luck looking at SW Amazing Gray instead!

Regarding updating can lights: This should say SOFT WHITE and NOT BRIGHT WHITE Sorry!

I say go with what you love. You can add dimmers to your recessed lighting. I just replaced the old standard can light bulbs with Feit Enhance light. You screw into the socket and push it up. It’s super modern looking and gives of a more vivid light than the old 65 watt spotlight bulbs. It took 5 minutes per light. I got mine at Menards. They are literally $6.00. Hi Brenda, you’ve done your reading! So yes, same floor, slightly darker stain in our own home. The light look is the ‘Natural’ and we did the ‘Stone’. AS for US distributor, I’m not sure, but I’m sure someone should carry that product, it’s great and more affordable than many comparable looks!

We are looking into new flooring and really like the flooring in your house. But I’m confused, I was reading another blog post that I think was from a client’s remodel and you indicated that the flooring was Goodfellow wire brushed natural and you indicated that you did the same flooring slightly darker. We are in Pennsylvania and are interested in that particular flooring. Can you please provide the name/color/width. Also, since you are in Canada, do you know if we are able to order directly from Goodfellow; from their US distributor? Thanks again for your assistance!

Niiiiice! I bet it looks GORGEOUS! That original granite is TOTALLY workable, but it sure is nice to have a shift. And MAN is the Brittanica Gold quartz stunning – that whole line is just friggin’ amazing, isn’t it?

Hi Jennifer! ACTUALLY, my living/dining rooms face north too! We have a massive (like 20′ high) rock wall in the back, approx 40′ back from the house that does block some of the light, but generally, those windows let in a GLORIOUS amount! It’s crazy how the undertones of this colour change throughout the day as I have a bit of influence from south-facing light on the front. Next paint, I ‘might’ do just 25% lightened, just to play around and add a BIT more contrast with the trim, but overall I’m loving this colour!

Hi Carla, thank you! The ceiling is actually White Dove, but that area is a bit more shaded, so I TOTALLY agree that it looks like Edgecomb Gray! And depending on your lighting, you might find that your sloped ceiling doesn’t shade as much as a flat one would :).

Hi Amy! It will depend on your exposures and interior finishes. I have mostly northern, but with a lot of greenery coming in, so I do get a bit of green at times. That being said, I’ve seen a VERY mild pink as well as cream – it’s really a shape-shifter – but most colours in this off-white range will pick up a lot from the environment. Generally, it’s just a nice soft neutral!

Good question Cindy! We don’t use our microwave much and actually put it in the pantry! I was going to put it in the island, in a drawer (it’s the new fad, but we just don’t use it much!).
