Hey Jami, I LOVE this and wouldn’t worry about it, as long as you’re going for a moodier room. As for trim, I’d stay away from Shoji White as it’s a tricky off-white that isn’t best for trim, and not with Balanced Beige. If you REALLY want off-white trim, hit Aesthetic White, but otherwise, I’d head into SW Pure White for long term flexiblity, should you want to change your wall colors down the road!

Oooo, Edgecomb Gray looks SO gorgeous both 25% AND 50% lighter – definitely try it out. Otherwise, Sherwin Williams White Duck can be quite pretty with it 🙂

Hey Adam! I wouldn’t do gray, as it could look too cool with the Cloud Whtie cabinets. I might lean into tan/bone/warmth more 🙂

Oooo, I’d be careful. Agreeable Gray lightened that much COULD pick up some violet-pink and be too light to be a great partner with Pure White. I might try 25% lighter to get a bit more contrast and keep more balanced undertones, if it were me.

It actually matters less what suits Balanced Beige and WAY MORE what suits your backsplash and countertop, specifically. I could throw colors at you that look good with Balanced Beige, but there’s no saying they’ll suit your main hard finishes!

looks great next to kendall charcoal if looking to go darker and also love it next to edgecomb grey (greige)

Many times, people will play with Maritime White or Moderate White, for example, using them regular strength on the walls, and 50% lighter on the cabinets and trim!

Hiya! Moderate White is VERY tricky and fussy with its white partners (as you’ve found), the best way to coordinate is to take it to the paint store and ask them to make it 50% lighter and 75% lighter, see which one of these you like the best :).

Hi Megan! It alllll depends on which WHITE the cabinets are. Manufacturer’s white cabinets are often SUPER WHITE or quite warm – just make sure they aren’t TOO warm or Origami and Snowbound won’t be happy. A white cabinets like SW Pure White or BM Chantilly Lace is great. From there, i PERSONALLY might do my trim white, just to have a bit of contrast with the wall color, to show it off a bit more vs blend it 🙂

Hey Sara! It can work, as long as you have a few other black accents in the room – maybe some framed art or small decor item? Otherwise the black can look a bit foreign.

Ceiling Bright White is a pretty darn cool white, I would change it, as Edgecomb does prefer a cleaner or softer approach. Chantilly Lace can look lovely or something like Sherwin Williams High Reflective White!

Hey Venessa! It’s so hard to say without seeing the WHOLE space. I’ll say that my general thoughts are that as much as ai LOVE PASHMINA, it’s a commitment to depth on the walls (it would be great on CABINETS with Edgecomb Gray walls!). I lean much more into Dove Wing, or even more so, White Dove! OR, if youy want to go lighter, try Edgecomb Gray 50%, see how that looks! It’s hard to say as the glazing can change EG a bit, but those are my first thoughts:).

Ooo, I’m glad you asked! I wouldn’t do EITHER with Sweater Weather. Sweater Weather is a stormy gray with a touch of green in it, along with blue. It won’t work with Ligh French Gray as it caters to violet, and even Big Chill which has a minor blue is too similar in depth. You’ll want to get a good 15-20 LRV points between your cabinets/walls (or you may as well do your walls the same as the cabinets – which I wouldn’t do). Most homes with cabinets like Sweater Weather best suit a very gentle off-white or even a white.
If you REALLY want to stick with gray, check out First Star, but personally i’d go a bit softer/lighter/warmer, i.e., SW Origami White or even BM White Dove!
