Hello Kylie-

In the kitchen photo at the top of this post with revere pewter cabinets and a black island, can you tell me where the subway tile is from for the backsplash? I LOVE it!!! It looks like an offwhite white gray in it as well. But haven’t been able to find it anywhere. Appreciate your help!

If I were to change things RIGHT NOW (and I hopefully will soon), I would do BM White Dove on my cabinets (as this is already on my ceilings/trims too) and PROBABLY Sherwin Williams Aesthetic White on my walls or BM Edgecomb Gray. These would all give me some more flexibility in the long-term :).

Hi, Kylie. I am really enjoying your blog. Could you comment on doing the opposite of picking Revere Pewter for the cabinets and trying to find a wall color? We are considering painting the kitchen walls Revere Pewter and the cabinets a slightly different color. We have honey oak trim and floors and appreciate the green undertones that Revere Pewter portrays. We currently have it in our living room and want to bring it into the kitchen. You have talked about gray being on the way out, so we don’t want to go too cool. Galveston Gray is supposed to be a coordinating color, but it seems so dark for a kitchen.

What did you end up doing for YOUR cabinet color? I saw where you mentioned others are darkened and by what percentage, but I couldn’t find how much yours were darkened, if at all. Thank you!

I went from lots of color in my house between Berkshire Beige in living room walls and ceiling (high ceiling ) and a Tuscan gold for the rest of the house. Dark brown/green black kitchen granite (tropical brown) and cream with chocolate glaze cabinets – to EDGECOMB gray throughout the house and White Dove trims and ceilings. So my cabinets look “not good”. What do I do? I thought Revere Pewter and love it on your cabinets but reading your article to the end makes me think not. Thank you for your insight , sharing your talents and adventures! I was going to go with White Dove on cabinets but it all just seems to “light” or bland after having so much color.
